Beyond The Label

Political and social debates are often shaped by competing claims, selective examples and partisan framing. They are rarely as simple as left or right, progressive or conservative, Democrat or Republican, Labor or Liberal, Woke or Bigot.

Beyond the Anecdote explores the values, assumptions, evidence, policy preferences and trade-offs that shape political perspectives. Rather than reducing people to a label, the aim is to understand where perspectives align, where they diverge, and what drives the difference.

The surveys are designed to explore the nuance behind those views; including how people respond when principles, priorities and policy trade-offs pull in different directions.
